  • Best Overall

  • Most Creative - Display that uses decorations, lighting, props, or special effects in surprising or innovative ways.

  • Best Fright - The spookiest Halloween display or attraction. Any display featuring live actors at any time during the contest MUST enter this category.

  • Best Theme - Display with the strongest cohesive theme, where decorations, props, or effects work together to create a unified experience.

1st - $250
2nd - $100
3rd - $50

Rules

  • Display must be located within the Lincoln city limits or within five (5) miles of the city limits.

  • One entry per home. Each display may enter only one category. Categories are subject to change at the discretion of Phillip's Lincoln Lights.

  • A maximum of twelve (12) displays will be selected to compete in each category.

  • Display owners selected for the contest will receive an official contest yard sign featuring a QR code that links directly to the voting page.

  • All decorating must be completed primarily by the resident(s) of the home. Professionally designed or professionally installed displays are not eligible.

  • Businesses, commercial properties, and professionally operated attractions are not eligible to enter.

  • Decorations must be clearly visible from the public roadway.

  • Displays containing political signs, advertisements, or political decorations at any point will be automatically disqualified.

  • Any display featuring live actors must enter the Best Fright category. Entries that do not comply will be automatically disqualified.

  • Any display found to be receiving fraudulent votes, including votes cast through VPNs, proxies, or other methods intended to bypass voting restrictions, will be automatically disqualified. Phillip's Lincoln Lights reserves the right to investigate suspicious voting activity and make all final eligibility decisions.

  • Winners will be determined by public vote. All voting results and eligibility decisions made by Phillip's Lincoln Lights are final.

  • Display submissions open on September 25.

  • The deadline to submit a display is October 14 at 10:00 PM.
